City District Primary Schools Cross Country Trials will be held on Thursday 22 April at Shaw Sports Ground, Kalinga. 10 year old competitors will be running 2 km and the older age groups 3 km. We will select the top 10 runners in each 10, 11 and 12 yr event to contest the Metropolitan North Championships on May 11 at Pine Rivers Park. The top two 13 yr olds were directly nominated to the Secondary Championships at Shawsportz in June

Each school can nominate up to 5 runners per event

Cost: $3:00 per runner - Schools will be invoiced by District for $3.00 x number of athletes nominated

2004 MET NORTH CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS

Metropolitan North will select a team to contest the Queensland Primary Schools Cross Country Championships. Five (5) competitors from each division will be selected. Divisions and distances are as follows:

10 Years Boys and Girls - 2000 m 11, 12 Years Boys and Girls - 3000 m

These selections will take place at the Metropolitan North Regional Primary School Cross Country Championships to be held at Pine Rivers Park on Tuesday, 11 May 2004. Each of the five Districts within the Region is invited to select teams of ten (10) in each division to contest these Championships. Full details of the Metropolitan North Cross Country Championship are attached.

COST: $10.00 per runner. District Secretaries will be invoiced for the number of runners nominated X $3.00 plus GST.

DATE: Tuesday 11 May, 2004.
